So do you think Halla Bol will do well commercially?
Of course! Inshallah, who won't harbour such a feeling? Forget about a film, even if it's half a film, I will always hope that it turns out to be a hit (laughs). I sincerely hope that the audiences will like Halla Bol. It's a different film and it's very relevant pertaining to what's happening in the society.
In the current era, the media has mobilised public opinion to a great extent, and people have got justice because of it. The film is very topical and will be relevant all the time. I am pretty sure people will like Halla Bol, and they will be able to connect and identify with the film.
Technically you made a hat trick this year as you were there in OSO too.
Of course, but in OSO I had a guest appearance. In fact a couple of friends of mine were joking with me that my third film too has turned out to be a blockbuster. But yes it feels great that you are a part of a film even in a small measure. When a film runs at the box office and is appreciated by the audience it gives me immense joy.
You worked with SRK in OSO, though it was a small part but how was the experience?
I was very thrilled shooting with SRK and I am one of his fans. I have seen all his films. I still remember there was a stage when I watched his Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 4 times, and for me watching a film four times is an achievement in itself because I never go for second viewing of a film.
All the four times I sat in front row of Liberty theatre and watched KKHH. I still remember the dialogues of the film and by the third time I could mimic the dialogues, which Kajol and SRK say in the film. I was that kind of a crazy fan. He is the ultimate romantic hero. I hope I get an opportunity to do a full-fledged romantic film with him.
