A few people had come to my college for the talent hunt, Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj.
Roshan Abbas and Gajendra Singh called at my house as they liked my face, and were quite convinced that I would make it. They even convinced my parents, who allowed me to go to Allahabad.
I won the competition there. Then I was called to Mumbai for the next level. I learnt a lot during the contest including acting and dancing.
Then came Ajay Sinha's serial Astitva Ek Prem Kahani, which I took up to learn acting. But I was not satisfied as I wanted to do more. So I gave up the serial and started doing commercials like Ponds, Rupa with Sanjay Dutt, Innova with Aamir Khan, Kotex, Daawat Basmati Rice, Mrs Marino and so on. But it was my Thumbs Ups ad with Kunal Kapoor that gave me lot of recognition.
