'Johnny Gaddaar is a caper thriller'

His father, Nitin Mukesh and grand father Mukesh once rocked the music industry with their playback singing. But Neil Mukesh has opted to take up acting instead.

Neil will make his debut in the upcoming Johnny Gaddaar, directed by Shriram Raghvan. Girish Rao introduces us to the rising star.

Do you consider Johnny Gaddaar as a proper launch vehicle?

It depends on what you see as the ingredients for a launch film. In my opinion, this is a launch film because an actor is showcasing his histrionics and talent for the first time.

If you were to say that this is not a launch film only because there are no BMW cars in it, no Switzerland locations or no love songs, then yes, it's not a launch film.

It's not a typical run-of-the-mill film. It's more of a caper thriller and very realistic. The incidents, which happen with the characters in the film, might happen with any ordinary citizen.
