Pooja Bhatt is a tough taskmaster. Did she get upset with you at any point?
I didn't know there was going to be controversy about it. She has been saying that we are not on good terms, and I don't want to comment on it.
You deal with different kinds of people. It's all a learning experience. You have to take it with a pinch of salt and in a dignified manner. It was tough performing in the film but Mr Bhatt was around all the time, which became a great source of relief for me.
Was she like a strict school teacher? How did you deal with it?
(Laughs) Had it been a student-teacher relationship I would have been very grateful. I have had really memorable experiences with my school teachers and this was nothing like it.
I don't know how to put it. She is that kind of a person. I was there for a job and I wanted a more comfortable environment. There are few understanding and accommodating people, while some are adamant and egotistic. And we were just victims of that. I tried to ignore and just didn't deal with it.
I was a newcomer and had to do my job as the main lead. When she signed me she was all praises and predicted my promising start in the industry but after some days, things changed. I don't know why...maybe because it's the way she perceives things. I don't want to comment on that.
I know I have never compromised on my performance. I shared great camaraderie with Aushima Sawhney and Bhanu Uday (also making their debuts). We were going through the same thing during filming. In fact we stayed united and backed each other when any of us came in the firing line.
