The Tamil film industry can take pride in this picture of an old and new Billa lighting the lamp together.
In a rare function at the AVM studios, the original Billa (Rajnikanth) and most of the team associated with the Billa of 1980 came to wish the Billa team of 2007 led by actor Ajith and director Vishnuvardhan.
After the pooja of the new Billa, the superstar handed over the script to young director and the actor.
Also present were Balaji, the producer of the original Billa, which was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Don, second heroine Namitha, Prabhu as the DCP and Prakash Raj as the drug lord.
Only Nayanthara, the heroine was missing from the function.
