The first day, we shot for a song. I was comfortable immediately since I love to dance. I drooled over the sets and loved my costumes. I was really excited, happy and a bit nervous. I was hoping my co-stars wouldn't throw tantrums or show arrogance, and they didn't. The 'idea' that I was actually doing a film only started sinking in when I saw the promos on air!"
"Lot of people expected me to mention pranks on the set, but in that regard they guys were pretty boring. However Emraan, Ashmit, Aaditya, Mithunji (Chakraborty) all used to tease me a lot, calling me very filmy. After every shot of mine they would say, 'Now you can become Madhuri.' Once Mithunji asked me if I had eaten vada pao (a typical Mumbai snack) and I asked him what that was and he immediately got one for me mixed with all chutneys and masala."
"On the last day of shooting the song Afsana Banake I decided to be naughty and soaked Emraan from top to bottom with water. I ran away before he could catch me."
Considering that Emraan and Ashmit were a part of Murder, which took Mallika Sherawat to stardom, does she have high expectations? "Mallika did not rise to stardom due to Emraan or Ashmit's presence in the film. The fact is that the story and her role were good. She got a chance to perform; her confidence showed on screen. Murder was a completely different story, director and banner. My character is totally different. I don't think any comparisons can be made. I don't expect to be Mallika Sherawat."
