Don't talk to him of the songs.
Cinematographer Mohanan, the man responsible for 'the Don look' is relatively pleased with the film he's just shot.
The songs, however, are a different ball game. "Songs bore me," he admits. "I worked on Main Hoon Don and the Yeh Mera Dil song, experimented a little and tried doing my own thing." And the others? "I went through the motions," he winks. "That's why they look awful."
Farhan Akhtar is a stickler for homework, and in many ways the film features many tributes to the classic. "When I took the project on, I immediately went and bought the old film on DVD."
And the cameraman freaked.
"Oh man, it was so funkily shot. There was some great angle work and it was very neat, the whole thing. It's really a very, very different looking work from anything Bollywood really produced. It's very cool."
