007. Live And Let Die

Talk about pressure. Sean Connery stepped down after the flaky Diamonds Are Forever, and Roger Moore took up the double-0 stance with this baby. Audiences had been unforgiving to George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but Moore had already enjoyed television success as a wealthy aristocrat.

The film saw him step into his own, raising an eyebrow, using more gadgets and being even more sexually predatorial than Sir Sean. It was a film which showed us the M-Bond bond like never before, as well as the first insight into Bond's flat. And only he could make those one-liners work.
