Selva is tense about Pudupettai

Unlike many filmmakers profess nonchalance as the release date of their film approaches, Selvaraghavan is quite a tense man. His latest film, the much talked about Pudupettai, releases on Friday.

The big question is: Will Selvaraghavan score a hat-trick? In a way, he already has. Though Thulluvatho Ilamaai had his father's name as the director, it was Selva who directed the film. Selva's first official film was Kadal Kondein, which catapulted his younger brother Dhanush to instant stardom. Selva's next film 7G Rainbow Colony also hit the bull's eye.

As Selva became one of the hottest Tamil directors, Dhanush's career nosedived, mainly because his choosing the wrong films.

So, Pudupettai is more crucial for Dhanush than Selva. But the director tells Shobha Warrier that it is just as important for him, and that if audiences reject the film he will go off to the Himalayas!
