Bollywood and militancy!

The upcoming Fanaa -- starring Aami Khan and Kajol -- is not Bollywood's first attempt at portraying militancy on celluloid.

Here is a quick look at 10 films woven around strife. And do remember to let us know your favourite films on militancy and terrorism.

Karma (1986)

If Saaransh made everyone realise the true potential of Anupam Kher as an actor, then his portrayal of a terrorist -- Dr Michael Dang - in this Subhash Ghai film proved that Kher could hold his own against a thespian like Dilip Kumar.

Dr Dang was evil incarnate, whose soul purpose in life was to destroy India's unity.

He finds his match in three criminals-turned-good guys -- Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Naseeruddin Shah.

Dilip Kumar leads the trio and destroys the evil empire of Dr Dang.
