The best of Fanaa
The scene: In the climax, Zooni learns that Rehaan is a terrorist, and pleads with him to surrender. Rehaan, on the other hand, is adamant about completing his last mission. The situation goes out of hand, and the two point guns at each other in sheer desperation.
Director's Cut: When they pull out their guns at each other, someone told me it was like poetry in Indian cinema! This scene is one of the reasons I made Fanaa -- a husband and wife being brought to a situation where they have to point guns at each other.
And the way Aamir and Kajol did the scene was hair-raising! Emotionally, we were drained after shooting it. The shooting was tough too, thanks to the weather. It was shot in Poland, at minus 20 degrees. We took two days to do the scene.
