The best of Fanaa
The scene: Rehaan, after being injured, stays at Zooni's house until he recovers. One day, he wakes up in the middle of the night to change his bandages. Zooni, who is still awake, gets up and helps him do it.
Director's take: When we shot it, there was no song in the background, and no dialogues. It was silent. And it is very difficult to shoot a two-minute scene without sound. It is completely up to the director and actors.
I put the song in during editing. A lot of my direction is instinctive. I don't even plan my shots in advance. I reach the location and go through the scene with my crew. The actors always go with the director's instincts.
