'To describe Judi Dench's performance in Mrs Henderson Presents, we need to borrow the title character's pet word for things that delight her: Delicious.
[The movie is] about Dench and her thoroughly entertaining performance as a crusty society maven whose favorite pastime is rocking the boat, any boat -- those of her stodgy friends, government busybodies, the theatre's employees. She loves it when jaws drop in shock and eyes widen like saucers.
Dench's Oscar-worthy performance is a delight... She turns Mrs Henderson into a cross between the stereotypical little old lady and a hurricane... you've got to love her even as she's steamrolling you.'
