Strike it rich with Paresh Rawal

Priyadarshan has always tried to mine Paresh's vast comedic talents.

In an earlier interview, when asked why Paresh was an essential part of his films, he responded "Critics used to say the same thing when I took Tabu [in Viraasat, Sazaa-E-Kaala Pani, Hera Pheri]. Now they are after Paresh Rawal. Actually, I find humour and spark in his eyes."

Inspite of a great track record of hits, Priyan's long-standing complaint is that superstars haven't acted in his films. And this even after his Viraasat gave Anil Kapoor's flagging career a new lease of life.
