I felt very bad about the Anuj Sawhney episode. I don't feel bad that easily because I have a great tolerance level. I felt bad because we had made a film with much passion, love and respect. We didn't disrespect the sex worker. We have treated her with respect. So, when Anuj spoke about it in an article, I believed it was disrespectful to all the people connected with the movie. If someone wants to do this type of marketing, I don't want to be part of it. It took me a lot of time to overcome.
I have not spoken to Anuj and don't see myself speaking to him anytime in the near future. I think he is childish. He is very excited about the film. He will grow up in the industry and learn to respect certain decorum. He is a likable character in the film and I wish him all the best.
I have gone from playing the character of Basanti to playing a rock star called Kriya in Rockin. Tanuja Chandra told me the character needed to have a tattoo. As I had a problem leaving Basanti after Chingaari, I have a big tattoo of Durga in Rockin.
My production house is called Tantra. I have one thing clear -- through entertainment, you either make people laugh or cry. It's okay if we are not the most tech savvy filmmakers in the world, but we are going to entertain you. I own it at the moment, but we may have shareholders and investors later. We produce the television campaign of Kiah jewellery that I endorse through Tantra. As for films, we will produce two to three a year. I also have Sensazio Leisure Private Limited with my partner Rajat Dalmiya. The business is to kick off in Kolkata. We will have lounge bars, nightclubs, pubs and hotels and come to Mumbai and other big cities later. We also intend going to Singapore.
