For his directorial debut, Karan Johar brought Riverdale High to Bollywood with his skateboards-and-Tommy Hilfiger vision of college. Add to that a glam Rani Mukerjee, feisty Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan in a dad role, and a hit was always on the cards.
