Court trouble is the last thing that Bollywood wants to be associated with. But given the tendency of actors to get into trouble, it is inevitable that the call-sheets of most of them depends on the court.
rediff.com takes a look at the courtroom graphs of some actors:
Ever since his name first came up during the investigation into the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, Sanjay Dutt has made numerable visits to the court.
He was jailed for 18 months for his alleged links with the underworld, and was charged under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (prevention) Act by the Central Bureau of Investigation. He was freed by the Supreme Court in 1995.
Last month, Dutt was finally declared innocent of terrorism, with TADA Judge P D Kode convicting him under the Arms Act.
His bail has since been extended till January 18, when most likely he will be sentenced in the case, bringing the curtains down on one of most celebrated tussles with the law.
