Subi and I are close friends," John said. "We call each other Mallu (Subi and John's father are Malyalees). So he just called up and said, 'Mallu, lets have a photoshoot.' And I replied, 'Sure, Mallu. When?'"
The result: The John Abraham Calendar 2007.
At the launch, John seemed to be in a great mood. When he was asked why the two 'Bs' in his life -- Bipasha and bikes -- were missing in the calendar, the actor immediately said, "But the third B is there: Body!"
"The pictures didn't need props like bikes. So we didn't include them," John added.
More than 100 photographs were shot in just two days in Goa, out of which 35 pictures made the final cut.
Most of the pictures are shot outdoors, with John rock-climbing, spashing against waterfalls and just lazing on the sands. "I hurt myself while rock climbing," John said, but added that the shoot was a lot of fun.
