Happily ever after...again

In the make-believe world of happily-ever after marital unions, loss is never anticipated and grief is a short-lived option.

In truth, sometimes a marriage falls apart or the unexpected demise of one's partner leaves the other irreversibly shattered and painfully single.

But films sell dreams. And in their sugarcoated scheme of screenplays, this tragic aspect of a story rarely finds a lasting expression.

Even so, there are have been some filmmakers, who explored the theme on the aftermath of a loss and its next best solution -- remarriage.

Filmmaker Ravi Chopra's soon-to-be-released Baabul revolves around a man's resolve to reintroduce domestic colours in the life of his deceased son's widow.
