Taj Mahal: From India, with love

After what seemed like years, Lahore's Capri cinema took on colours unique to Bollywood. And with good reason. The Indian film industry had announced its presence there after a gap of four long decades.

Hundreds of jubilant Pakistanis thronged the cinema for the premiere of Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story, after President Musharraf waived a 41-year old ban on screening Indian films in Pakistan.

Pakistan had imposed the ban shortly before the countries fought their second war in 1965. Now, with the peace process begun two years ago, and improving relations, the Pakistan film industry is confident the government will lift the ban entirely.
