Deepa Mehta's Water has been mired in a plagiarism controversy for ages, which is why, despite appearances at a handful of film festivals, the movie hasn't been released in India yet.
Wednesday night saw the film screened at the annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, and here are some pictures from the premiere.
