Kher plays Professor Uttam Choudhary, a retired Hindi teacher who lives with his daughter (played by Urmila Matondkar) and young son in Mumbai. He is suffering from what seems like the onset of senility -- lapses in memory, brief amnesiac bouts.
No one suspects that the problem lies much deeper, and overcoming it will require truly great introspection.
