Nisha Kothari
I was born and brought up in Kolkata, after which, my father was transferred to Delhi. One night my parents had gone to a party.
Khichdi is my favourite dish because it is easy to cook and healthy. There was nobody else at home and I thought of preparing Khichdi. I put the rice, dal and other ingredients in a pressure cooker.
This was the fist time I tried to cook. At the same time, Sridevi's Chaalbaaz was playing on television and I was also watching the movie. After sometime, I thought of checking whether the Khichdi was ready or not. I checked and then came out of the kitchen.
Within a second, I could hear a loud sound. It was almost like an RDX blast! The pressure cooker had burst. The wall of the kitchen was also broken. I was really lucky to have been saved that day. It was my first cooking experience, and a real great disaster!
