Salman Khan

Our house is an example of Hindu-Muslim togetherness. One of my mothers is Muslim and another is Christian. My sisters-in-law and brother-in-law are Hindus. My youngest sister Arpita is also a Hindu. Where will you find such a family which is a unity of all religions?

Every year, we celebrate Ganpati puja very proudly at our home in Bandra. We celebrate the puja for one and a half days. After that, we immerse the idol in the sea. All the members of my family celebrate Ganpati.

God is the supreme power who is above all religions. It is he who rules the world. Human beings follow his invisible directions.

On the sets, we have a director whom we can see and follow. But in our lives, we follow the directions of this invisible director. This what we call our 'instinct.'

Ganpati puja is part of Mumbai's life. I enjoy it despite my busy schedule. I feel these type of pujas bring a different type of feelings in our mind. Holy celebrations are necessary in our busy life. We have different problems in our life which steal our peace of mind. These celebrations help to lessen our pain.
