The next period of Khan’s life revolved around his early work in television. There was Circus, where he travelled across Maharashtra and Goa over a period of three months, learning things that would stand him in good stead years later.
Another serial called Dil Darya -- based in Punjab and directed by Lekh Tandon -– was also a learning experience, compelling Khan to experiment with feelings and emotions. And then, there was Fauji, which introduced the enthusiastic young man to India’s millions.
