Shahid Kapoor has three big releases coming up in two months -- Vikram Bhatt's Deewane Huye Pagal that hits theatres Friday, John Matthew Mattan's Shikhar (due for a December 16 release) and Mahesh Manjrekar's Life Ho To Aisi (slotted for January 2006).

On the eve of the first film, which also has Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Rimii Sen, Shahid speaks to Subhash K Jha about working with Kareena Kapoor, losing weight, and more.

Suddenly, there's a lot happening in your career.

In my career so far, I have had three releases. Now, I have three in a few weeks! I didn't want to do too many films but the offers are getting better and better.

I'd be foolish to refuse Sooraj Barjatya, Abbas-Mustan and Priyadarshan. I will have seven releases in the next year. It's a crucial time for me. I'm trying my best to create nuances for each character. Right now, I have no choice but to surrender to my directors' vision. They're all much bigger and better at their job than me.
