Few genres have been as suffused with gusto and adrenalin as that of the gangster movie. We really can't get enough of the men with guns in hands, cigars clenched between teeth and pasta on the kitchen table waiting for them to come home to, after a murder or three.

This is not a list of heist films, capers, or smalltime con jobs. All 10 films on this list are about organised crime, usually perpetrated by large families.
