When I came to the industry 19 years ago, I didn't know anything! I was new and very confused. I didn't know who was doing what. I learnt from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and over the years since. Later on, with experience, I became confident.
I learnt to act and dance on the job. Sometimes I can't believe these things happened to me. When I look back I think, 'Arre! Did I actually do these many films?' I don't even watch those films now. This is how life is.
It feels like life has gone by in a flash. Today, I cannot remember what happened 19 years ago. Who were the people whom I was working with? I just didn't know.
I had worked with Sanjay Suri earlier in Jhankaar Beats. He told me about Nikhil, and gave me a bound script. I felt very moved after I read the script. I feel the script has been handled very well. That is the reason I took up the film.
