Vinta Nanda's directorial debut White Noise hits the screens on Friday, March 4. The film stars Rahul Bose and Koel Purie.
Not many know Vinta had first approached Tabu to play the female lead. But she opted out, and Koel, who was first seen in Rahul Bose's Everybody Say's I'm Fine, was roped in.
Koel spoke to News Editor (Entertainment) Syed Firdaus Ashraf about her new film and much more.
I first started acting when I was four years old, in school. I did a play on stage where I played a bird!
I also performed in family get-togethers, especially at birthday parties.
So I really don't know when the actor in me was born. I guess I was born to act and be in spotlight. No one else in my family has an acting background. My grandfather (V V Purie, the businessman who established Thompson Press in Faridabad) was Raj Kapoor's friend and the financier of his films. He made films like Aan and Aag.
