After a long time, Amitabh Bachchan is leering menacingly from Mumbai billboards, alone. Star credit in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar firmly belongs to the megastar.

In a conversation with Raja Sen, Bachchan talks about why that is such a fallacy. Excerpts:

This is the first film where I'm working with Mr Ram Gopal Varma. Obviously there is great excitement. The premise of the film was in our minds for several years. Ramu and I have been wanting to work together for a very long time.

There have been many opportunities when the two of us have come together, discussed (things), but nothing fructified after that.
