Releasing on Friday, D is yet another underworld film, coming to you from the specialists in the genre, Ram Gopal Varma's Factory.

Vishram Sawant's directorial debut, the film sees Randeep Hooda in the title role, with an eclectic selection of supporting actors around him.

Patcy N speaks to D's other characters:

Rukhsar

I did a movie long ago (Inteha Pyar Ki, in 1992) and then went back to complete my education. I started a garment business, and did that for a while. After that, I thought that I should try my luck with films again.

I play a film actress. She is very famous and 'happening', and gets involved with Deshu, the gangster.

I was doing Sarkar with Ramuji. After the first schedule, Ramuji offered me D. It was a big compliment that Ram Gopal Varma saw my performance and cast me in D.

Vishram is the coolest director around and very passionate about his work. When we were not shooting he used to chill out and crack jokes. But on the set, he was very professional and serious.

I enjoyed doing this movie. I have re-learned a lot of things because I have been out of touch for a long time. I share a nice relationship with my co-stars. My major work was with Randeep. Chunky (Pandey) is very down to earth and Isha (Koppikar) is a very nice human being.

I have two, three movies in the pipeline, but haven't signed anything other than Sarkar.
