Interviewing Shilpa Shetty, undisputably one of the most stunning women in the film industry, is one of those rare assignments journalists fight for.

A Ganesh Nadar and Raja Sen spent an enviable afternoon with the lissome actress, as she sportingly let her guard down and displayed startling frankness.

Speaking in percentages, how important do you think are acting skills as compared to looks?

As an actress, I think it's very important to look good, because people don't want to see a bad-looking actress. I think heroes can be 'less better looking' than heroines (smiles): that's the way I'd like to put it. I think acting talent should be around 40% at least, and looks around 60%.
