The Salman Khan controversy about his alleged links with the underworld has created a furor in the country, especially in the monsoon session of the Parliament.

Even Bollywood awaits the outcome anxiously, as about Rs 50 crores rides on this actor this year.

But one person who seems unaffected by this is Shirish Kunder.

The Main Hoon Na editor, who married Farah Khan last year, turns director with Salman-starrer Jaan-e-man.

Shooting was halted last Saturday due to the controversy but Kunder is unperturbed. "We're taking a break. We will resume on July 23," He says. "I'm not worried about Salman's investigations because I know my film will not be affected. And this break will not affect the film's budget."

Kunder claims the 15-day schedule will go ahead as planned in Mumbai's Film City.

The lead cast of Jaan-e-man has had their share of hiccups. First, there were rumours that Salman and Akshay Kumar were at loggerheads with each other after Salman allegedly flirted with the latter's wife Twinkle at a party.

Then, Preity Zinta was offended by Salman's alleged remarks about her in the taped conversation with Aishwarya Rai.

And of course, the Salman controversy caused Bharatiya Janata Party cadres to protest against his film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and ask theatres to cancel its shows.

Jaan-e-man, meanwhile, is a romantic drama set in New York. The schedule there is planned for September.
