My character is half Indian and half British. I live in London. John and I fall in love there, and he brings me to India to meet his family. I blend in and learn about Indian culture and tradition.

I did not have to audition for the role. Mahesh met me and narrated the story to me. I liked it and signed up.

The only similarity between the big screen and the small screen is that both have camera, lights and you have to wait for everything to be set up. You have the confidence to face the camera.

But the difference is that I'm facing a big star cast. We have to rehearse and work together so that we do the scene as the director wants. Veejaying did not require acting skills. You just has to be yourself. Here, you have to get into character; you have to be somebody else.
