The 62nd Golden Globes have been handed out. The winners are currently soaking it up in the press room, and the after-parties, basking in the glory of massive media attention, and the incredible knowledge that their victories might just herald Oscar glory soon.

Jamie's got a Globe

But man, he had it comin'
Now that Jamie's got a Globe
he ain't never gonna be the same

Critics would not call this an exaggeration. Foxx's performance as the visually impaired music legend has been drawing accolades throughout the year. 2004 also saw the comic actor enter the serious acting landscape scene with two other breakthrough roles: the cab-driver in Michael Mann's Collateral, and the television film, Redemption.

Foxx was nominated for both those films, but lost. Not that he'd mind too much, finally pocketing the Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy) for Ray.
