Navya Nair

Keralites know that Navya Nair is an actress of high calibre. She won the Kerala state award for her very first role in Nandanam. She went on to choose roles where she could contribute something as an actress.

In her debut Tamil film, Azhagiya Theeye, she showed everyone that she wasn't in it for the glamour or money. Which is probably why Thankar Bachan chose the 21-year old to play the mother of two girls for Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy, a remake of Srinivasan's Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala. Navya's was one of the best performances of 2005 in Tamil cinema.
