The Silver Peacock award -- for most promising director -- was presented to Argentinian directors Vera Fogwill and Martin Desalvo. Their film Kept And Dreamless depicts the relationship between a drug addicted woman and her 10-year-old daughter.
Mirza said the award went to them for "unveiling the feminine universe with sensitivity and humour in the context of the global margninalisation of people".
