His films have spanned the gamut from action thrillers to groundbreaking comedies, but with his upcoming release, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Akshay seems to have found a film he's personally passionate about. Excerpts from a conversation with the star:

Waqt is about a father who is ready to do anything for his son. He's showing his son life, and the world, seating him on his shoulders. But when the time comes for the son to be independent, for him to stand on his own feet, the father doesn't have the time to let that happen.

Waqt, the film, is the story of what happens to these two characters and what they undergo during this time.
