When I'm writing my own scripts, I'm not considering myself as an actress. I'm not keeping that in mind and writing a script. In fact, me as an actress and me as a writer/filmmaker are totally different. I don't see myself mixing the two. I want to concentrate on one thing. I should have done it in (her first production) Paisa Vasool also. I should just have been a producer, not an actress and a producer. Because one has to concentrate on one thing at a time. If I was a pro at it, then it'd be different. I should just have produced a few films first, and then maybe I'll be confident about both roles, and be able to switch on and switch off between them.

I've only started working on scriptwriting a few weeks ago, and am developing a short film. I want to write and make short films before making a feature film, because the kind of films I want to make are hopefully going to be on an international

level. So I don't want to jump into anything. I want to practice with short films, documentaries, etc before making movies. Yeah, yeah -- I'll write and direct them.

People can't expect me to come out of film school and get straight into direction. I want to make slightly different films. And for that, I realised, I'm not quite ready. I need a lot more learning, a lot more practice.

I liked Paisa Vasool . I think Sushmita (Sen) acted very well. It was a different kind of film. Two actresses doing comedy and not a sad drama, and it was kind of bold to make a film like that without a real hero or a romantic angle. It was a good film, but as a producer I learnt that it could have been marketed better. It could have been made on a slightly smaller budget and also I could have worked with certain good distributors. (But) At the end of the day, I'm happy about this film.

So I'm very optimistic about what's coming up. I want to work with good directors, make good films. Otherwise I'd rather stay home and write scripts. And hang out with my friends, work out at the gym.

I'm very positive!
