While dubbing for it (Mumbai Express), I was in splits! I was really laughing loudly. It's the dialogue and the performances. (They are) Really funny!

The director, Mr (Singeetham Srinivasan) Rao is firstly someone I just adore. He's so elderly and such a sweet man. He's done such great films but he's so humble. He knows what he wants, but he never says it loudly, or forcefully. In a sweet manner he sticks to what he wants. It's something very admirable in a director.

I wasn't Kamal's first choice (the role came to Manisha after Bipasha Basu and Tabu were unable to take it up), but that has never affected me. In a lot of my good films, I've been a second option (laughs). So this is just another of those good second-option films.

Like in Khamoshi, Madhuri Dixit and Kajol were his (director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's) first choices, and when I saw the script, I told Sanjay that if nobody's ready, I want to do this film!

I got a lot of flak after Chaahat (laughs), so I'm trying to cut down on films.

I'm interested in good scripts. It's not about the length of the character. I mean, in Company, (Manisha's character) Saroja has very little time onscreen, but then she really got noticed and that's very satisfying.
