The shooting of Ajit's new film Attahasam is on in Chennai. It is directed by Saran, who is riding high on the success of Vasool Raja MBBS.

This is not their first film together. Saran presented Ajit as a romantic hero in Kadal Mannan.

In their big hit, Amarkkalam, Ajit played an action hero. During its filming, the actor fell in love with his heroine Shalini; they married soon after.

Saran has written Attahasam to give Ajit a new image. It will be the actor's first comedy. It also happens to be a double role: Ajit plays a happy-go-lucky Guru, who runs a driving school, and Jeeva, a thug in Thoothikudi. Needless to say, they are twins separated at birth!

As Guru, Ajit gets to do a lot of comedy, and as Jeeva, he gets to perform a lot of great stunts, says Saran.

This is Ajit's third double role. The first was the S J Suryah-directed Vaali in which he was superlative as the younger brother obsessively in love with his brother's wife. The film was a blockbuster. But his next film double role, Villain, was a disaster.
