Shwaas, directed by Sandeep Sawant, is the first Marathi film to win the National Award in the last 50 years. Now, it breaks through onto a greater stage, as India's official entry to the Oscars this year.
Despite the accolades, it remains an uphill battle for Shwaas. Promoting the film on the international stage is tremendously expensive, and the film's makers are trying hard to raise funds.
