Antara Mali is different. Daringly so. She doesn't opt for item dances, the trend these days. Instead, she chooses a film like Naach, where dance is the mainstay.

The actress talks to Subhash K Jha, about her new film, which released this Diwali.

Your naach is being pitched against Madhubala's in Mughal-e-Azam, which releases on the same day…

And how wonderful is that! We are opening with three other products from top production houses [including Yash Chopra's Veer Zaara and Abbas-Mustan's Aitraaz]. I see that as healthy competition.

I don't think Madhubala's and my dances are dissimilar. Both have spirit and soul. They are aesthetically different but both have passion and emotion.
