Dabboo Ratnani never planned to become a photographer. Today, he is one of the biggest photographers in Bollywood!

He was all set to join his fatherís business. But at 17, he joined fashion photographer Sumeet Chopra as an assistant. He worked with him for four years, between 1990 and 1994.

Then director Sanjay Guptaís Aatish fell into Dabboo's lap in 1993. And there was no looking back. He went on to work on the stills of films like Ziddi, Deewana Mastana, Prem Granth, Hera Pheri, Ishq Vishk, Jhankaar Beats and Plan. He is currently working on Hazaar Khwahishen Aisi, Jurm and Murder.

His decade in show business have made him at ease with stars and their rather mercurial temperaments. "If the stars are having a bad day, we just call the shoot off. I have had people tell me they are sozzled. By the time they settle down with good music and their makeup, they vent their anger. They chat with the makeup artists and hairstylists. Itís part of my job to create the mood and the ambience. Frankly, Iíve never got attitude from stars because Iíve never given them attitude."

And these are some of his favourite pictures.
