Ajay spends more time in the kitchen than I do, and is a good cook," Kajol admitted. "He experiments a lot. He makes amazing mutton and kheema.

"I only make salads for him, which usually get burnt. My father [Shomu Mukherjee] is a Bengali and my mother, a Maharashtrian. So I have tasted food from both these regions before marriage.

"Now, I am married to a Punjabi so I get to taste food that is pan-Indian. I keep trying all kinds of food because of this pan-Indian family connection!" Kajol said.
