Urmila Matondkar may not have bagged many awards last year even though her performances in films like Bhoot and Pinjar were fantastic. But that does not mean the actress will not get her due.

Come September 19, Urmila will be awarded the Smita Patil Memorial Award for best actress. Instituted by the Priyadarshni Academy, the event will have Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil as the guest of honour.

Some of the previous recipients of the award have been Karisma Kapoor (2002), Aishwarya Rai (2000), and Tabu (1998).
