After playing a soldier in J P Dutta's LoC-Kargil, Sanjay Dutt resumes his patriotic act in Raman Kumar's Sarhad Paar. Tabu plays his wife, while Mahima Chaudhry plays his sister.
The film is about Dutt, who returns home after being a prisoner of war. Traumatised by his past experiences, Dutt loses his memory. All he can remember is an unnamed face. While his family helps him recover, Dutt tries to search for his lost identity.
Dutt plays a Sikh for the first time in his career in Sarhad Paar, which costars Chandrachur Singh and Rahul Dev.
