My first day of shooting was comfortable. We were shooting for the song Yeh rishtaa in Jaisalmer.
I had nothing much to do but walk and smile. Of course, I was still very nervous. The shooting started at 9 am with Tabu's portions. Mine was to start at 11 am.
So at 11 am, I was very nervous, waiting for my call. But it was pushed ahead to 1 pm. At 1, I mentally prepared myself for the first shot of my life. And it was postponed yet again. It kept getting scary.
Finally, I gave my first shot at 3 pm.

| The shot only required me to walk towards the camera. Everyone cheered me, and that helped.
The first scene was quite easy too. It was a scene with me and Tabu in an old palace in Jaisalmer. There were thousands of people watching us. I guess I was comfortable since actors like showing off in front of people. Which is strange, because usually people get more nervous when they have to act in front of a crowd. My problems started after the first day. I realised acting was not all fun and games. It is easy to go for classes and workshops and look at it from outside. When you actually start doing it, you realise the enormity. And that's when the fear comes in. The last day we shot the Titli daboch li song, which is being aired on television now. This was in Hyderabad. We ended on a good note it is a good song. I love A R Rahman's music in the film. I think this is his best score after Dil Se.. and Taal. My favourite songs were Yeh rishtaa and Do kadam and an instrumental piece, Potter's village. People say it takes time to get used to Rahman's music, but I liked these the moment I heard them. I used to sing these songs all the time. I am a terrible singer so people would ask me what I was singing. But it stuck to me since the time I heard them.
