Zakhm

Zakhm was essentially not a love story.

It was set amidst communal riots when the brutal question of how a Hindu son (Ajay Devgan) should do the last rites of his Muslim mother (Pooja Bhatt).

But the film was also about an estranged couple who yearned for each other throughout their lives and finally found each other in death.

Nagarjuna as Ajay’s father was brilliant, like his costar Pooja Bhatt. In fact, the film belonged entirely to this couple and the younger Ajay (Kunal Kemmy).
