Roja

Set against Kashmir, Roja is one of Mani Ratnam’s most well-known films nationally.

Married against her wish, Roja (Madhoo) takes times to love her husband Rishi Kumar (Swamy). Almost immediately, Rishi is kidnapped by terrorists. Roja then runs from pillar to post to free the man she loves.

And to seal the film, their meeting at the end is enough to melt tough hearts.

A R Rahman’s score in the film is simply brilliant.
